I absolutely hate

. . . this little cardboard thingie that I got with my stitching kit. Whoever thought that this would work, is definitely out of his/her mind! The cardboard bends and all the long strips of floss are just dying to get tangled into each other. Grrrrrr . . . I definitely need to make a plan, it is just not working for me and will most definitely drive me crazy in the long run. How do you handle this, any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

    I use floss bags with the number written on the front. I put them on a ring. I also put the symbol on the bag with a small sticky label. That way I can remove it when I am done and use the bag again. I wrap any strands I have seperated around my fingers and put them inside also. I have also made a needle holder for kits. I use a piece of felt. Put a piece of wide tape down the middle. Use small sticky labels with the number and symbol on each. When I am done I can remove the labels and use it again for the next kit. Hope this helps.

    I use the little baggies too. You can either use the Floss-a-way bags or the small snack ziplocks. I use a small post-it to put the floss number and/or symbol on and stick it on the inside of the bag. Punch a hole in the corner (flossaways already have the holes) and put them on a ring. I'll post a picture of it on my blog so you can see. :)

    My grandmother always used the little snack zip baggies for her floss. It worked out great for her. :0)

    I use zip lock bags, snack, zip lock 4x6 that I get at Hobby Lobby, a craft store. I cut the label off of the card and put it in the inside of the bag with the thread. I then get a shoe box and put the bags inside it in order by number. When I am finished with the project if there is any thread left, I use the box to put all the other threads I have used. When the box gets filled up I get another box and start adding to it. I now have 4 boxes of thread and I pull from those boxes when I need a thread and replace it when I am finished. But no matter how many threads you have you will Always need just one more. It's a rule. If you have just three stitches left to stitch you will Always run out of thread. Another rule!
