Do you hate back stitching?

I did my first back stitches ever today. And at last the blob of colour looks a bit like a little flower. I have to admit that I did not hate doing it. I have read on many blogs, that everyone seems to hate the back stitches but it wasn't that bad for me. In fact I rather enjoyed it. :) It was nice to see the little out-of-focus flower take shape. And here is a little look . . .

    Personally, I like backstitching. I love the clean, defined lines it gives stitching. It's usually quick and easy too! But, yes, a lot of people dont care for it.

    I don't mind it as it usually makes the finished product take shape! Some patterns can be pretty intensive in the bsing department though. Like the Dimension Christmas ornies I am doing right now! LOL

    Your stitching looks lovely and yes the back stitching does make the design pop. Personally I HATE back stitching. BUT it does bring out the details. One of those necessary evils. :)

    I hope your DH is feeling a little better today.

    I think it is the thought of it...you are nearly finished and then you see the backstitch. Once started I find it quite calming.
