Book Blogger Hop

Book Blogger Hop

In the spirit of the Twitter Friday Follow, the Book Blogger Hop is a place just for book bloggers and readers to connect and share our love of the written word! This weekly BOOK PARTY is an awesome opportunity for book bloggers to connect with other book lovers, make new friends, support each other, and generally just share our love of books! It will also give blog readers a chance to find other book blogs to read! So, grab the logo, post about the Hop on your blog, and start HOPPIN.  (If you click on the logo, you will get to the site with the "Mr Linky")

This week's question:  Do you judge a book by its cover?
Yep, I guess I do.  A beautiful cover will always draw my eye and I will want to know what the story is about.  If I don't care for the blurb, I won't take it further but the cover will be what draws me to click on the title.

  7. I surely do. It is part of how we are wired to make decisions with visual input, I may also learn a lot if the book's paper tears in my hand then perhaps the book has been cheaply produced and I may assume correctly or not that the publisher may not employ good editors. We make decisions on most things through the interplay of several senses and faculties using the information to make assumptions and hypothesize on something's goodness, quality, value, as well as how closely it comes to what our ego perceives as self.

I know blah blah blah. I adore the Jack Russell terriers btw. Fangs, Wands and Fairy Dust

  10. Visiting from the hop! I agree with you. Covers are your first impression of a book and what draw you to them. But after reading a blurb, if the book doesn't look as good as I'd hoped, I won't just buy a book because of a pretty cover.

  12. Glad to have found you via the Hop. I'm loving your blog! I love to cross-stitch, too, but am constantly choosing between that and reading - consequently, I've been working on my current cross-stitch project for about 3 years now!
