Isn't this a beautiful painting. It is done by Victoria Francis which I have just discovered through a online friend, Sharon.
Victoria Francis does gothic pictures, some vampire inspired ones and then some that is a little too much for me - but taste differs. Google her name and you will see what I mean :)
This is the first time I have read/listened to an audio book. For the past two weeks I have been listening to it while driving to and from work every day and I have to admit that it has made the 1 1/2 drive much easier. I will also say that if I have not been listening to it, I would probably not have been able to finish this book. Somehow the voices makes it come alive more and I want to know what happens to Henry and Claire. I am about 3/4 through, so this coming week I will finish it. I am already looking for my next "driving to work"-book.
As you can see, my Fairy Tales (HAED) has come a long way from my last update. I am about 1 1/2 pages into this project and I have to say that I am proud. Last night when I couldn't sleep, I though about all my other stitchie projects and I think today I will take them all out and have a look. I am in a "spring-cleaning" kind-of-mood, so maybe I will start sorting out all my supplies - I just love going through all my stuff and paging through all the patterns on my computer! I can do that all day long. :)
Well, it is about demons - yeah you read it right the first time.
Here is the blurb:
In a place where ecstasy can cost you your life… She’s a demon-slayer who hungers for sensual pleasure—but fears it will always be denied her. Until Tayla Mancuso lands in a hospital run by demons in disguise, and the head doctor, Eidolon, makes her body burn with unslakable desire. But to prove her ultimate loyalty to her peers, she must betray the surgeon who saved her life. Two lovers will dare to risk all. Eidolon cannot resist this fiery, dangerous woman who fills him with both rage and passion. Not only is she his avowed enemy, but she could very well be the hunter who has been preying upon his people. Torn between his need for the truth and his desire to find his perfect mate before a horrific transformation claims him forever, Eidolon will dare the unthinkable—and let Tayla possess him, body and soul…
I am only a few chapters in but already I am hooked. I just love Eidolon - he is all a fictional hero should be. . . strong, confident, sexy and off course conflicted :) Watch this space . . .
We went camping for a few days next to the sea on a very isolated part of the coast (no nothing anywhere near). It was wonderful! Unfortunately the third day the wind started up, driving us back home. Here are some of the photos :)
Tomorrow we leave for the next three days' camping in a beautiful part of the mountains.
