I want to apologize for not being a good blogger recently. I have been going through a bit of a slump since I heard about my retrenchment. Although I knew the possibility was there, it was still a huge shock when it happened.
But I am beginning to feel bits of life seeping back, so hopefully I will be able to concentrate on reading and blogging again soon. I have been trying to make plans for my future and I am feeling much more positive now that I am actually thinking up ideas :)
I saw Paranormal Activity (the first one) about a month ago when my bother-in-law visited with the movie in hand. Let me just say . . . I scare easily and till today, I still get a creepy feeling when I have to get up at night and the clock-radio says 3am! When I tell people I was too scared to let my foot stick out under the duvet, they just laugh at me!
So I wasn’t too keen when BIL showed up this afternoon with the second movie.
I am glad to say that I enjoyed it much more (maybe because it was still light outside?). This second movie has much more story than the first one. The first movie used scare tactics to get their point across while the PA2 has much more story. The scary stuff built slowly, up till the last thirty minutes when all heck broke loose . . . let’s just say I didn’t see the end coming.
This movie is mostly a prequel to the first Paranormal Activity and then towards the end it runs parallel to the first. It was also fun when the actors of the first movie made appearances and became part of the storyline. I don’t want to give too much away because then I will just spoil it for you but I would suggest that you watch these two movies in sequence. How about you just take a look at the trailer below?
5 more days to go for the first phase of our retrenchments. I have not been able to read or really do much of anything in the past few weeks since the announcement. Hopefully things will be a little easier from Monday on (well if you can call having to apply for your old job again, easy), the next big date is 31 May 2011.
